MILLION MOTORCYCLE MOTORCADE

MARTIN LUTHER KING JR NATIONAL

MEMORIAL PROJECT FOUNDATION

Comprehensive Outlook

 

 

Mission:

As the Directors for the State of Maryland, CPR’s mission within this project is to assist Howard Clifton, Sharon Cancel, and the Martin Luther King Jr., National Memorial Project Foundation raise funds for the construction of the Martin Luther King Memorial on the National Mall in Washington, DC.

 

The plan is to orchestrate a nation-wide motorcycle motorcade consisting of a million motorcyclists, enthusiasts and supporters. In order to mobilize and create the excitement needed to encourage participation and total support throughout the community,  the Million Motorcycle Motorcade has been created to benefit the Martin Luther King Jr., National Memorial Project Foundation aka (M5 Project).  This historic and strategic event will allow motorcyclists to participate in a commemorative national undertaking as well as collect pledges/donations for the miles they will embark in their journey to Washington, DC from their perspective states the weekend of August 28- Sept 1, 2008.

 

The Million Motorcycle Motorcade is a comprehensive project not only dedicated to procurement of funds for the Martin Luther King Jr., National Memorial Project Foundation, but is also committed to educating everyone this project touches on the legacy of Dr. King.

 

The weekend events will include:

· Meet and Greet for all participants,

· Opening ceremonies

· Motorcade, (route to be determined)

· Commemorative march onto the National Mall for the presentation of solicited monies to the foundation

· A motorcycle fair for participants to be able to receive educational materials relative to the Martin Luther King Jr., National Memorial Project Foundation as well as motorcycle safety.

· A Sunday morning church service and breakfast.

· Closing ceremony and presentation.

*PRO Convention –Jan  The Public Relations Officer Convention held in Philadelphia in 2008 will attract over 1000 motorcycle clubs from across the country. This event is invaluable because all of the staff members for the M5 Project will be in attendance. Your attendance is respectfully requested.

 

**National Round-up July the largest Black oriented motorcycle event in the country, with over 100,000 bikers in attendance this event will sure to have our largest most captive audience.

 

This Project is exciting as well as historical. In the footsteps of Dr. King the Million Motorcycle Motorcade will bring back a renewed spirit as well as uniting our respective communities, motorcycle enthusiasts as well as supporters for such a worthy cause.

 

The Million Motorcycle Motorcade is looking forward to the support of the Martin Luther King Jr., National Memorial Project Foundation in any capacity to make this dream a reality.
